And there we have it! Our biggest Community weekend yet has come to an end.
If you missed Power Up on Sunday, I would definitely recommend listening back on Spotify because Cassie and Yas absolutely NAILED what it means to be a part of our community. They each shared their personal experiences and also looked at the wider benefits for self development of being part of a supportive community.
And when the session finished, off we headed to Mecca, AKA UltraFlex Rotherham!
And what an experience that was! I chose to just enjoy trying the different equipment, rather than training one of my specific sessions.
A highlight was looking up and seeing the muscliest leggings I've ever seen (Meg) and also seeing the gigantic frame of Kuba. It was just kinda cool to see them - not just because of how phenomenal they look, but because I respect them so much for all of the knowledge that they share.
When we went into the posing room, I have never felt that my legs were so tiny in all of my life because Chloe Pickford was there posing. I have to be totally honest - I felt TINY in UltraFlex. In my gym, where I train normally, I feel like I have a lot of muscle. Here I was like a teeny tiny little bean! BUT, we have spent a long time in our community focusing on NOT comparing ourselves to others and I am very grateful for this because it meant that I trained and enjoyed the experience, rather than feeling inferior and like I didn't belong there.
A real highlight was meeting our sponsored athlete, Paige. What a woman! She was incredible. She LOOKS insane, but wow - her energy is really beautiful. She helped me and Cassie with a more effective execution of an exercise we were performing. And I was SO happy for her because her coach gave her a refeed, which meant she was able to enjoy a Nando's with fries AND a blueberry muffin for afterwards. Seeing her take that bite of the burger was the BEST. It brought me so much joy to see this because it was so well deserved.
All in all, just a really wonderful way to kick off what is set to be an incredible month.
DIET UPDATES!
FINALLY I saw a drop on the scales at the weekend - back into the 64s.
My coach was adamant he didn't want to drop my calories any more. He is being very clear - this isn't prep. It is to re establish a little more hunger adn to reduce a little bit of body fat.
Therefore, the following changes were made;
Steps - up to 12k
Cardio - 3 or 4 x a week - I am doing 35/40 minutes.
On we go... Just over 2 weeks until my holiday!
Whaaaaat a day yesterday was 😍
